How to Reset CEL

Hey All,

what are the methods to reset your engine lights? I have tried disconnected the battery, but it does not work.

Uhm... go to any local parts store and have them reset it for free. If it comes back you have a problem and need to get your codes scanned.

I went to autozone once and they told me that they could only check the codes andnot erase the codes for liability reasons. I finally talked the guy into clearing them tho

pulling negative battery cable for 5 minutes resets it for sure.

If its back on once you start the car, your car is throwing a code again right away. Get them read so you can find out what the problem is.
