How will APR tuning affect resale (up or down)?
OK, I caved and took a lease on a new 2007. I am now selling my 2002 A4 Quattro Bose/Symphony sedan. It's completely stock and I am not a tuner, except I had the software added. Will that be a plus or minus on resale? I am trying to decide whether to lock it permanently in stock mode or advertise that feature as a plus. I just don't want buyers to think I am a racer (OK, I did race that Lamborghini down the street, but as most of you pointed out that wasn't really "racing.").

Ithink I wouldn't mention it unless asked. Let them drive the car, and the car will speak for itself.

I haven't had the time to decide on a price yet, but I am thinking around 15k Buy It Now. It's at 66k miles with certified until mid-2008 or 100k miles.
It depends on the buyer. If it's a younger person, tell them it's chipped for a little more scoot. If it's the little old lady from Pasadena, let it go.
In my experience I find that modified cars sell for less than a bone stock car. There's also the notion that buying a modified car might've been beaten on more heavily.
My 94 camaro certainly didn't sell well. I waited for months trying to sell it at what I thought was a fair price, but since I had a couple of mods I figured that i would have to take a dive to get rid of it. Needless to say I sold it for 2 grand below my asking price...
My 95 Taurus SHO had plenty of mods on it, but I sold it for what I thought was a fair price (on ebay no less!).
So do what you think is right. Personally I'd get another ECU and sell your chipped one
