yeah it is a quattro, and I am not understanding how the exhaust won't help at all, I was advised a more free flowing exhaust = more hp as well as less back pressure on the turbo for better performqance. Is this info incorrect

 

Ya the exhaust will help. Just dont go any bigger than 2.75" unless you get a BT. You do need some back pressure for the turbo to operate right... Less back pressure is good to a certain point with the k03, which is about 2.75" max. Im sure youll get 5-10hp extra out of it. The chip is gunna be your real butt kicker though.

 

exaust is a must. the turbo needs to breathe. dont go bigger than what onepoint8 said.

 

Im getting my exhaust soon! not to thread jack... Its milltek 63mm... Which i think equalls 2.5 inch dia. After I get the money to Arif for the MAF that is... (ahem! aRiF)

Stratmosphere.com says i should expect a 7-8% increase in hp/tq with it, so i would expect about the same with any other exhaust that is 2.5-2.75". So thats about an additional 14hp if you are chipped. Not bad.

im thinking of getting a magnaflow universal exhaust 2.5" and getting the pipe done at my friends shop from the cat back.....what do you guys thinks??? should i get the full torbo back exhaust from borla which is a lot more because im just going to spend money on the muffler and the piping will be free!
