I have been having a little trouble with my vag-com cable recently, and its over a yr old so I wasnt sure if I would get it replaced/fixed under warrenty. I get in touch with Andy at Ross-tech to find out what my options where, and he says since I'm local that I can swing by if I want and we can figure something out, so I go there today, only 20min from my house, and he plugs it in to his tester, and the cables fine. He checks out my computer and found the driver got bumped off the driver list somehow. Even though the cable was working, he decided to give me a new one just in case, and then once I told him I use it alot he decided to give my the more durable Hex-Com!

I just wanted to give a big thumbs up, and I wish all companies would have customer service at this level. The vag-com is well worth the money 10 times over one of the cheapo ebay cables.

Yep I totally agree. I helped Andy out for 10 minutes and he rewarded me with a free hex com. Awesome company and great support.

 

I wanna free hex-com USB, what do I have to do? hahaha.. Cough up a few hundie, I guess... soon though. Tom or Ritt, would I be able to pay you guys, and have you send me one? The canadian dealers are hosers I think... seems like they make more than the exchange rate would suggest.

But yes, I almost bought an eBay one... but decided against it, for several reasons... one being that I definately want USB and definately want hex-com.

yes this vag-com tool is great to have. i just heve to contact them again to re register my software. my computer crashed a while ago and just have been running on the free software.

 

Headshock, I just realized that may not be a great idea because they get registered to a person, i think it is 349 us plush shipping, not sure how much that is, and then shipping from me to you, but you might want to just order directly so that it gets registered to you.

My cable and my ol,d cable both had the registration encrypted into the cable which was kinda cool, plug and play

 

Yeah I heard about that... something about the "dongle" ... haha, how it was all integrated. Very cool though. call it 375 shipped... thats 470 CDN... I remember them wanting over 5 approaching 6 for them up here... was a while ago I called however.
