humming noise when A/C is on (98 2.8 Q auto)
Hi guys:
As the title says my 98 2.8 Qhas started to makea loud humming noise when the AC is turned on. The noise seems to be emanating from near the compressor. The A/Cis still very cold and the noise is not RPM dependent. I called the dealer and theywant an absolute fortune to take a look at it. Any input as to what the problem is would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone knows of a good independent Audi repair place in or around Charlotte, NC please let me know.
