That is total BS. I would contact a lawyer and have him/her give them a call. It might be enough to get them to fix it.

If I were in your situation I would certainly pursue this matter because something really smells fishy about this. And I would want peace of mind.

Just MHO.

tell them they simply shouldn't have undertaken to fix anything they didn't know about or have tools for. sound them out before you threaten them- they might only be chancing their arm, they might offer to work something out.

I agree ^^^^^^. However, I think they are bluffing you. I would be screaming blue murder. Of course I wouldn't mention that the car was running hot. They are trying to get you to admit that your car was fu.cked up before it got to them. You have said the right thing so far so don't back down. Keep your boots on & pursue, the more noise you make the worse it looks and then they will eventually either do it to save face or do it because legally they have to. Stay strong girl.

I am grasping at straws here. Which is it 60,000 or 100,000 that Audi suggets you replace the timing belt? And where could I find the information?[sm=boohoo.gif][sm=rant.gif][sm=outcold.gif]

techincally in the book it is 100k. I think they offer reimburisement for engine damage from early TB failure. I think they since changed it to 75k?????

But for you it will be 100k
