Dude, if youre going to get software make sure its an agressive file from GIAC.
They have free updates for life as well. PC16 file is what you want. You will need exaust. and few other goodies.

HAHAHAHA. And so, the transformation begins. Soon you shall be fast, and poor. The Bishop gives his blessing.I would very srongly suggest that you do a test pipe while you have the turbo out, it will be easiest then.

You car (as long as it's running ) will pass without a cat. It won't pass the visual test though. If I were you I would make a crazy heat sheild that blocks any line of sight to the cat from above, make sure it's hard to remove. They won't try to look from under the car, it's too much of a pain to see it. If they tell you that you have to remove the heat sheild to pass the test go to another test shop. Usually if you are cool about it and act like you bought it like that, the test guys won't care.

I used to pass all the time with my old ford truck with hollowed out cats. The limits for the test were still higher than my car producing.

Oh, and how will I know when my tranny is starting to go out? I have never had that happen before. Would it just start to shift really hard then eventually just not shift at all?

I would not put anywhere close to 300 ft lbs of tq on the tip tranny for anytemporary amount of time (until you go level0) Try to be realistic about this... You are going to be dropping how much? $2,000? for all the things you mentioned above^?? Then you are going to get a level ten tranny upgrade to actaully make it reliable?? That will cost you about $1200 or more after installation. Thats going to all be at least $3200 for a reliable k04 setup (i didnt even include tax on anything.) If I were you I would sell your car, get a 99.5 MQT and have one badass BT setup for the same cost with no tranny upgrades other than a clutch. Thats just me, and thats the conslusion I came to when I was about to go k04. Why spend $3200+ for about 100 more hp when you you could just get a a4 with manual tranny (waymore fun anyway)and get 200hp for the same price? By the way, with a level 10 upgrade your tranny will shift very hard- especially on down shifts and will be nothing like it was when it was stock. Its actually very unpredictable shifting patterns from what ive read. Do some research on it over on audizine and audiworld. There aremore than a few people that had them and had gear hunting, hard shifts, and other problems. There are some that had no problems though. Uncomfortable gear shifts are pretty much gauranteed though. Just thought Id share my oppinion on all this, you do whatever you want-its your car, your money.

My goal isn't to have a insanely fast car. I don't want a BT at all. All I want is a little more power and a car that is still fun to drive. I just talked with in motion and thier K04 chip will produce about 220hp and around 260ft/lbs of torque. Is that to close to the 300 to be safe?
