Default i don't want the airbags to go off!

i'm gonning to be taking the old seat cover off and puting a new one on, both my driver and passenger seats. how can i make sure the side air bags don't go off? i've heard storys about people messing around with this stuff and bumping the wrong stuff and BOOM there came the side air bag at 200 mph. thanks guys

Disconect your battery - No Bat No Boom

You will lose all your settings on your radio -

Wait for about 30 minutes after disconnecting the battery. These have capacitors that hold a charge for a time after the battery is disconnected.

yea listen to david9999 and wait awhile after u disconnect the battery....airbags aren't cheap to get replaced

extremely rare for this to happen ( pull the seat airbag plug and the system is automatically deactivated ) the system is designed for this problem otherwise it would be unsafe ( I hate seat belts and airbags too constrictive in my view ( an over safety issue ) $$$£££ in their pockets

whoa dude..
Yeah, I don't know about the seat belt thing, I think they DO save lives, air bags however scare the **** out of me(they went off when I totalled my Civ)

alright ... disconnect battery and wait ... and if i want disconnect airbag ...

anyone know where to buy quality seat covers ? i went to the dealer and they want 250 for just the bottom portion of the seat !!!! woah! ... so any input on what to do would be much appreciated .
