Default I fixed my buzz Guage!

Well, over the weekend I installed a vac/boost guage and for the last few days I have had my radio turned way up so not to hear the anoying buzz!
So, I went to autozone and bought a silicone hose kit and used the 4mm and two little pieces of 6mm and I bought a "hose barb" (from tail end of guage to a nipple for the hose)...the bigger hose was way bigger than the tiny nylon stuff that came with the guage, but I just got it all hooked back together and went for a ride and it is super silent...the only sad part is that a couple days ago I bought a "no-buzz" T fitting from purems.com for 4 bucks and 8 for ship and now I really don't need it, all I know is that I finally have a nice quiet cabin! If anyone wants picks of what I did I will be able to post them tomorrow....I would suggest that is you have any buzz, just buy a silicone hose kit, I always thought the buzz came from turbulance in the T, but I guess I was wrong!

I probably should have waited until the T came in, I wonder if it would have worked with my cheap nylon tubing that came with the guage?...oh well
I'll post some pics later and onepoint8, you can have the T, it probably wont cost more than a quarter to ship....just pm me

Alright, so I took a couple of pics...please don't laught at my set-up, I installed it my way (not too pretty, but functional)

here's a pic of what I did with the T (from the T I went 6mm and then the 4mm just went inside snug) picture
this is a pic of my dash lit up, but the flash makes it look funky (kinda) PIC
and here is a pic from sideview of guage (from the back of the guage I did the same 6-4 as on T) and I painted the backside of the guage PIC

I know it's different, but I like the bare look, plus it doesn't buzz!

I don't think anyone thinks it is possible, but somehow I have it and love it!

Very interesting.. I wonder if the previous owner did a conversion. I have never seen wood trim in a 1.8t. Whats the exterior color?

black exterior, and the previous owner wasn't straight and knew nothing about the car...the nice part was that he had everything taken care of at the dealer and had all records on car since it was new!

maybe it was a special order kinda thing from the factory. You have a very unique ride.
