Default I fixed my center armrest lid.

Anyone interested in a write up with some pictures? It was very easy to do. Took less than 10 minutes and now the lid doesn't come out anymore.

OK. My wife drives the car during the day. When she gets backI will take a picture and post how I fixed it. My problem was the hinges. The driver side flexes and cracks with time and will not hold the lid tight enough.

For now, I will give a short description of what I did.

If you take the lid out you will see that the hinges flex towards the center. The driver side one flexes too much. I drilled a hole through the center of each hinge and then put a wood screw threw the holes. I put the screws from the inside of the hinges so the screw heads face each other. I then tightened the screws all the way to make it possible to fit the lid back on.
Once the lid was in place I used a needle nose pliers to turn the screws out until the heads of the screws made contact with the piece of plastic that goes between the hinges (the piece of plastic I'm talking about is in the center of the arm rest. not the lid). What this does is push the hinges outwards and create pressure to prevent them from flexing in. You will need to undo the screws if you want to remove the lid.

I will post a picture later on.

Here you can see the 2 screws going through the center of the lid's hinges. Let me know if you have any more questions.
