1. what are the parts of a full exhaust from the turbo...correct me if im wrong. turbo>cat>downpipe>muffler?

2. if the above were true and i were to use a borla that quotes 15 hp and a labree testpipe (quotes 15 hp) or hollowed out my cat, would i esentially gain 30 hp?

3. lately ive had a LOUD noise coming from the rear of my car. my friends say it sounds like a jet plane taking off. it sounds like my tires are rubbing against something. i recently got one tire plugged because it had a nail in it, and it started about a week after. could this be the problem?

30hp is the MAX possible. Who knows whether or not youd get it, you'd have to dyno it. the noise could be a shot wheel bearing.

 

1. You're almost right. There's a resonator before the muffler.
2. Only if you had a bigger turbo.
3. Probably a wheel bearing as Miked said. Take a hard turn to the left and right. If you turn left and it goes away, it's your left wheel bearing. If you turn right and the sound goes away, it's your right wheel bearing. If it doesn't change, let us know and we'll try to help track down the problem.

edit- Wheel bearing tend to go out in pairs. I replaced one and the other side went out a week afterwards.

 

i believe youre right about the wheel bearing...my left side went out a couple weeks ago so i guess this sides going now too. any estimate on price, time, difficulty of install? can i pick up a kit at ECS?

 

anyone know?
