I got a Sub and amp (I have pics of it)
Well, the wheels I wanted were not avalable so we went to my next thing. Some bass! so we went to sound advice and found a nice JL AUDIO 10inch W-1 w/box, then we picked out the Jl AUDIO 250/1 amp. The guys said if we waited to have put in at X-mas that it would be really busy, so they offered to do it today and my dad amazinly liked the idea! so it happened! love the sound great bass, and not over kill.... sooooooo much better than that stock junk BOSE sub.
Heres the set-up

Cost:
*Sub/ box = 190.00
*AMP = 400.00

JL amps aren't my thing. You can usually get so much more for the money (though maybe not as many features). Their subs and components are awesome, though. At one point I was running a 13w7 off 1200 watts, and the JL XR components off 125x2 watts. It could satisfy any musical urge imaginable...
That's a nice clean setup you got, though. Small and lightweight, good for a more performance oriented car.

hmmm, well its an amazing amp no regrets, but it was a high end sound advice shop, so you gotta expect those things, I guess. and my dads not one for ordering stuff like that over the internet, so im fine with it

That's a heck of a present. I never got stuff that nice when I was growing up
.
Ha ha...and as far as the "junk BOSE" goes, I think it sounds good but that's just one man's humble opinion.

Yeah definately got owned on the amp's price... but the slash series amps kick some serious ***... I think it would have been cool to get like a 500/5 though... and get a real amp to your speakers!
But hey, if you're happy that is all that matters!
And your box isn't heavy... I mean... "all" sub boxes are sorta heavy... but a 10" W1 isn't going to weigh much. My 10W7 in HO box, weighs 96.2 lbs... according to JL. Factor in my 450/4... and my 500/1... hmm... I wonder why I'm even getting swaybars... haha, not like I'll be winning any auto-x comps with this stuff in my trunk.
