Yeah, thats a problem................ Test pipe time! No point in going to the trouble of removing and re welding that pos. Try that Ebay TP out.

Oh nevermind.... Either get it rewelded or try a high flow cat if you got the $$$. Some people still have problems passing emissions with a hfc though.

 

DUDE MY CAT JUST BROKE IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT!!!!!!!!!!! thats too funny hahaha.. looked just like that, I replaced it with a TP off ebay for $130 and used non-foulers and no CEL.. just do that

 

Its not uncommon to break in that spot. But if he has emissions, a test pipe is not the solution. He wont pass even if he uses non foulers. The post cat 02 sensor wont detect much, if any activity with a non fouler (or 2). Most of the time thats enough to keep the CEL from poping up, but there will still be a code stored and the readings will be off.

non foulers bring the 02 sensor out of the exhaust stream. Its a spacer.
