well I started hereing my brakes tonight. I don't really feel like taking the wheel off right now to look but anyone remember if the pads have squeelers (small metel tabs that are there to make noise. I really don't have the money for these, so I'm thinkng cheap *** pad untile I can.

the brakes don't have sqeakers it has a brake wear sensors aleast it does on my 01 i don't recall seeing sqeakers on any a4 pads but i could be wrong can't you look though the slots in your rim and see how short the pads are

 

I thought all pads have the squealers? I know the ones the stealership puts on does.

 

OEM Audi brake pads do NOT have squeeler tabs on them

They have sensors

 

Hummm interesting. When I took mine off, there was a shiny metal numb within the pad itself as well as the wear sensor. These were OEM audi pads as I have the recipt for them from the previous owner.
