i keep blowing fricken fuses w/ my sunroof!
it's summer, and i want to use my frickin sunroof but everytime i put a new fuse in it keeps blowing them and stopping. the plastic rails are kinda busted but i wouldn't think a small peice of plastic would cause it to blow fuses. luckily audi put in a manual override..... but seriously... i dont think it's the swtich like every other post says on here, but ya never know it could be. any advice from experence or anythying would be great.
What AMP fuse are you using??? I would go a little bit bigger than the one you are using... Is your electrical system bogged down with components (i.e. subwoofer, etc etc.). You might be blowing more than just your sunroof fuse...
NO no no, you never up the amperage of the fuse just to keep it from blowing.
sandnsnow24, does the motor bog down when the sunroof goes over the broken parts? Does the motor make any strange noises? All I can think is the motor gets caught and it starts to draw a lot of current.

I cant stress this enough. unless you want an electrical fire. There may be a short in the wireing, get a bently or electrical diagram for the sunroof option. Check continuity for all circuits and if they are good the replace the motor, if they are bad repair the necessary wire.
(onepointeighttee will love me for this)
That is everything you can do to diag.
im using a 20 amp fuse and there's NO way i'd put a higher one in..... haha that was the first thing I learned about electricity. I'll just go get a ton of fuses and work the roof a little to see if it bogs down or whats going on. some of the plastic chunks are missing so they could be in the slider..... I'll do all of the above ^^^^^ and i'm sure to find a solution, thanks guys.

Heh... i have issues on mine as well.
Sunroof will open UP. but not slide open.
and when i close it **it keep opening** i have to turn car off and remove fuse.
On top of that the right side rail is kinda foked up.
