Default I LOVE AoA

I just bought a 97 A4 1.8TQM for 3000$ w/96000 miles
The reason it was so cheap was a broken timing belt. I had read horror stories about this, but i figured that i would take it on cause i love these things, and it was cheap. One of my friends who happens to be an audi tech informed me of the 'JK Recall' or whatever it is. The old style tensioners lose tension and the belt strips off the teeth around the crank pulley. The timing belt is never supposed to break, even tho it does.
So I called Audi of north america, expecting to have to yell and scream and whatever, but i gave the guy my VIN and he told me that Audi would pay for the entire job. That is 20 new valves, tensioner, belt, water pump, and just about anything else that broke due to the broken timing belt... and the car is on the original belt at 96000 miles.

I just wanted to inform everyone of this because it is no cheap bill, and if you have the old style tensioner, you should be able to be reimbursed for everything... This could save you thousands.

I am doing it myself... but he basically just said what do you want, because it happened because of a recalled/ known problem component. He told me i could have audi do it if i wanted, but i dont trust german car dealerships, and yes i got his name and everything... I think this only goes for 97 and previous... im not sure, but i know it is only for the old style tensioner. Call AoA and see if this applies to your car, cuz it could be bad haha

I was refering to this post...

Anything over 20psi is dangerous for the street, anything over that should only be used on a track for 1/4 mile runs, or on a car with a 6 billion$ engine... the heat produced above that is too much for the cars to handle, any cars. If you want to produce the power you are looking for, get a bigger turbo, make up for the air pressure with volume, because in the end that is the goal... to increase the volumetric efficiency of the engine, and with forced induction, for a general rule, 1 bar (14.7psi) will double your v.e. If you use that kind of pressure, you will FRY everything around the exhaust and turbo... Watch your EGT's
... *ackward silence* ... I feel dumm3r.............o no!11!!!!1!! i"m st00ped!1
