Well, if you mailed it to him (or someone helping him out), then at least you got an address to visit on you next trip to sunny CA.

That sucks if he ripped you off. Can the moderators get his IP address and see if any newbies pop up using the same address? I think it would be good for the group to know, or to block 'em.

 

That's rough. People on the forums need to be looking out for shady stuff like that and let's hope something like this doesn't happen again.

 

call staisis and tell them. see if the guy really did get a gc from them. if he did see if they can just cancle his credit and give it to you

 

Seems kinda fishy that he hasn't popped up to defend himself at all on this thread.

 

You can change ur IP adress in 15 seconds. I don't think it's even a worth while investment of time. Buy from reputable sellers with high post counts. For example,me and CHaos after a few pms worked out a deal for a X-box 360,agree upon the price and I am ready 2 send the money. On my last pm he states that he plugged it in 2 double check it was good and now it wasn't working right,don't send the money i'll see if I can get it fixed. Now Chaos coulda easily sent the broken 360,got my money and been a bit richer. I'd have an unusable piece of plastic and circutry. Chaos was a reputable dude and that is why i chose to try and do buissness with him,and IMHO it was well worth almost payin an X-tra few bucks because when problems arose,he squahed them b4 any money was sent. YOu want to not get ripped off,do buisness with a good seller like CHaos who will back his item,not some fly by night 1 post swindler. I would do buisness with Chaos in a heartbeat again,and recomend my fellow members do the same,as he has a good deal on a K04 goin right now.

 

haha thanx bob! yeah it was a good thing i played it that last time before sending it. im currently still trying to fix it, i bought a new dvd drive for it but unless the drives are the same model you have to mod the xbox to make it work. so i returned the other drive and currently waiting for the new one to arrive. when it does the xbox will be back up for sale after i play it a few times and ensure its working correctly. i've been screwed a number of times on the forum actually and know how it feels. i wouldn't do the same to others. i've learned from my mistakes tho, never do business with noobs, especially one's that are offering sick deals.

 

The gift certificate is real, I was at Penske Audi's GTGwhen this Lexus owner entered the raffle and won the $500 gift card. We were hoping no one would buy it from him, we were trying to convince him to give the card to one of his buddies who own an Audi, but seems all this guy sees is $$$. Just got a PM from the guy and he said he got my money order but he's waiting on Stasis to send him the gift certificate. Now I feel bad for accusing him of such a horrible thing.
