Anyone know how to test an ignition contol module?

Audi A4 1997.

I have a misfire in cyl #2. Swapped coil packs, not that, swapped plugs, not that, smell gas on plugs from that cylinder when i pull them out, so probably not the injector.

Anyone know how to test the ingnition control module befoer i go buy one?

I had to have a shop diagnose. But, once I knew it was the ignition control module, I found one for $150

 

I have my oem bosch one which I'm selling for $75 shipped . I cant use it anymore from standalone and I am desperate for cash so if yours is bad please buy mine!!!

I did buy the ignition control module, it fixed my misfire problem.

Every one that fails seems to fail on 2.
