ignition control module (ICM)

Default ignition control module (ICM)

the ICM should be on top of the airbox correct? well....i dont know if this is normal or not...but my car is missing that... why?

if you car is a DBW it does not have a ICM

drive by wire is it a 2000 or 2001 you will not have the ICM

DBW( Drive By Wire): Your throttle body is controlled electonically by the ECU. You press the pedal the ecu tells the throttle to open. Let off .. close. You get the point.

nDBW (Non Drive By Wire) or DBC (Drive By Cable): You throttle body is controlled physically by a cable attached to the pedal. You push the pedal it pulls the cable and opens the throttle.. let off , release, close.

You get the idea.

If you already knew what Drive by Wire was, but didn't know the acronym "DBW" I appologize in advance.
