Default Ignition Misfire?

I have had my CEL on for a while now. I could have sworn it was my exhaust but after fixing that the light stayed on. I got it checked at Autozone and the guy said it was an ignition misfire. He cleared the code but it came back on the next time I started the car. What should I check? Sorry I'm new to the whole Audi scene.

How would I go about checking the coil packs and the spark plugs?

well start out by starting the car... then unplug each of the coil packs...if the misfire gets worse when you take one of them off, its not that cylinder keep doing that till you find the one that dosent make the problem worse...when you find it...thats the cylinder its misfiring on

to figure out if its the coil pack or the spark plug inter change the coil pack or spark plug to a different cylinder, if the problem stays on the same cylinder then its your icm, if you movie either the coil or the spark plug to a differnet one and the problem moves there...then the problem is which ever one you switched
