Default RE: Im getting it!

he is asking $10,000. I will probably go into a wheel place and see if they trade. I definately want to do a lot of stuff to this car (i have never had a near nice enough or fast enough car to not feel like a *** making it look sweet). Im very new at car related stuff so this might sound dumb, but if i did do the trade in, would/ could they swap the wheels out on my car too? Im probably going to get an amp and a sub put in it too (every dollar over $5000 i can sell my old car for i can spend on adding to this one) Im not a rap person who needs a bunch of bass or anything but id like to be able to listen to music fairly lound and not have it hurt my spearkers too much. I was going to drop a bunch on chipping it but seing as it is already chipped, i can put that money towards other things. Im pretty sure i will be able to sell my old car for $6,500-$7,000. Ill probably get some of thoes cool pedals too (i know a lot of people think thoes are lame but i think they would be neat for $50) Do you have any links for the new grills?

Thanks for all your help!

-Chris

check out lltek for grills (scroll down, the top grills are for the b6, b5s are below)understand that you can't get the grill they show on their car, you need the hole in the center for the hood release, sorry.

as for the sound system, make sure it doesn't already have the bose system. if it does, you don't want to get aftermarket components. the bose system sounds waaay better than any aftermarket setup.

I dont know, NADA shows it at $11,775 high and $9,500 low. Plus with the rims (yes ugly but still worth $) and the chip, i think its a pretty good deal. Also what did you mean by :

(understand that you can't get the grill they show on their car, you need the hole in the center for the hood release, sorry.)

Thoes grills look pretty sweet, and not too expensive. How hard are they to "install"

those are high miles, chip new is like 400-500, and the rims should bring down the value of the car

oh well, i cant get him to come any lower. Even the Kelly Blue Book value of the car is 11,000. Yes, it does have a bose sound system, so ill just leave that if it does sound better than anything aftermarket i could do. I want to trade the rims and get the black grill and possibly black or less blingy rims (where as there isnt any chrome window trim, i think it would look cooler to go black instead of chrome).

there's a few grills that they show on that page that don't have the center holes. you need that hole though.

here's one without...

and here's the hole i'm talking about...

ok, im really liking the black HEX SPORT GRILL. If i did that i would definately need to replace the lower center grill with one that is black. What do you think about black rims?

Nah, you can get the grille without the hood release hole..but you'd have to modify the hood release. I've seen a few over on audizine. If you're curious you could post up over there and ask em how to do it.
