[:-] do them myself??? Like i said, im very crappy at this kind of stuff, allthough i'd like to learn. If i did them myself, i would have to lift the car up to put them on right? What would i do while i was sending my rims on ebay, rest it on cinderblocks?? hmmm. I sure hope the lower grill is just something i can rip off.

a) buy the rims you want, put them on THEN sell the chrome
b) state in your ebay add that you must recieve the money before you send the rims...have a set of rims in mind u want. then when someone buys, you immediatly buy those other rims. when you get em, send the chrome crap out.

ahhh, you are a clever one. When i read part a) i was thinking "i dont have that kind of cash!" but yeah, part b) would work well. Would i want to purchase them online or locally?

I honestly like how it looks having the orange lense. What kind of store would i find thoes at? How expensive and hard would it be to put thoes in?

Thanks,
Chris

Also, i havent entirely committed to anything yet. Do you think i shouldnt get this car?

if u can.. do it locally. talk to the guy before hand, tell him ur situation. that way u don't **** off hte stupid douche that bought ur chrome wheels. would ur dad be able to help u out though? like, have him spot u some cash to get the new rims before u sell the chromes. that'd be the least stressful way to go.

EDIT: and yeah, if the car checks out, sounds good to me. if there's no CEL and ur uncle knows what to look for.. then the chip should be good to go. i'd just paint htat chrome grille (leave the rings chrome) the thick bars are kinda cool. And the only way to get the amber lense back in there would be to buy new headlights. OR... if u somehow got ur hands on some amber lense, you could melt the lense from the housing, and reinstall the amber lense... don't know why you'd do that though. wait till u get the car man. once u get an amber bulb in htere instead of the silver bulbs.. trust me, you'll like it

CEL is a Check Engine Light. Tells you somethings going wrong with ur ride.

To paint the grille, you'd be carefully masking off the audi logo (unless you wanted the rings black too) then taking some VERY fine grit sandpaper and sanding all that you want black to give the paint something to adhere to. then, primer it, then let it cure (let dry in the sun for about 1-2 hours). then, paint... about 2-3 coats to make sure it's a good black... once again cure. pretty easy man. can get the car paint in a spraycan at most autoshops.
