Default Im not holding boost after getting the APR chip???

Last week i bought the APR chip for my Audi 1.8t 2001. I drove hard this week to break it in but not much has changed. I spike at 20 pounds but i doesn't hold it there at all. In the 1st and 2nd gear i don't hold crap on boost. Whats the problem?? I have a forge 007 forge diverter valve so thats not the problem unless i need to adjust the stock spring thats in there but i was told im not boosting enought to have to change that. Does anyone know what i am supposed to do cause i feel like i have wasted over $500?????

its not going to hold 20psi or even 17psi for very long.. you are pushing a tiny turbo to the extreme.. it cant hold there forever..

if you get a test pipe and/or new exhaust.. it will help the turbo maintain somewhat.

Its not holding any boost though in the first 2 gears...it holds maybe 12 psi in 1st and pretty much the same in 2nd. It almost feels like i didn't even get the chip.

Well your stock boost is like 7-8 PSI.

Did you get a new diverter valve? It is recommended you do, this is what might be causing the problems.

maybe you overestimated the chip, which is the opposite of most people. either that or you have a small boost leak somewhere, but i dunno cuz youre spiking at 20psi. like said before the ko3 is tiny so it cant hold that level of boost.

Do a search on 'boost leak'. Some people have used some spray stuff, anyways do a search.

As for the forge, swap out the spring for the green one. I had in the Blue one and was only getting about 12-14PSI. With the green one I can do about 21PSI @ WOT.

like someone said you might be overestimaing the chip.

just in case though, vag the car and see if any codes pop up.

geting an exaust would be nice too.
