I'm so frustrated...what car should I get?
TT is lame. ****-quattro.
IDK about subies being thaat unreliable; I know a guy who kicks the **** out of his on a daily basis, has since he got it a year and a half ago, has put 60K on it, without a single maintenance problem. Not only that, but he has modified it quite a bit. Three different exhausts, two intakes, a full custom turbo kit (t3/t4 variant.) It runs 12s on the stock clutch, although that's about to change.
True, the trannies are weak points, and the internals aren't too strong, (350chp, I hear, before they pop) but still, the EJ20 is a good engine, a great starting point, and very reliable day-to-day if you don't beat its ***. Besides the WRX would be practical.

VB05 - hahaha, the cheat, i don't think many people know about homestar runner.
Yea the wrx is a good starting point but id start with the sti, its all the bad things with the wrx done right.

I thought A4s didn't appeal to you???? I hate to say this but soon and very soon your gonna be wanting to cut about 2 seconds off your quarter mile time and your not gonna be able to do it in a 2.8 without forking over 5k for a SC. As much as I love my A4, if I'd had the extra $ I'd have gone with WRX. Hopefully the upcoming K04 PC-16 will solve my problems
i think he will be fine with it, we said he wanted a reasonably fast car, which the 2.8l is and plus audi's offer alot more in terms of confort then wrx's do. But juju does have a point be awear that you if u buy a 2.8l then you will not be spending your money wisley trying to mod the engine

ur getting a little carried away, there is absolutly nothing worng with a 2.8l, they have a fairly quick and reliable engine. granted you can not do much to mod then unless ur going all out with a s/c, but they also offers things that you cant get in a 1.8t like leather...
