I'm so sick of this snub mount issue!
Well, 1st I installed a Greedspeed snub which to me looks way to small for the housing (is there supposed to be that much spoace around the snub?

2nd, I order a new snub and housing from 034 motorsport, cool. I pull the bumper off and go to install the new one and I notice that they sent me the housing for an early b5 instead of late and this is the difference (stock bottom, new top).

I called them and they gave, I think, the best customer service I've ever gotten. They are sending me the late style housing overnight and it will be here tomorrow. So now, I will let the car sit in the garage with the bumper off, enjoy the rest of my day and install the new tomorrow and love it.

Oh I'm sure it'll be better. The snubs are actually the same size, it's the housing that is bigger. I don't know what the problem is but now that I'll have the right housing, it will firm up nicley. I got about the same amount of slop as I did with the stock broken snub.
cheap and made of the same material. although i hear the greedspeed stuff is smaller, supposed to mean less vibrationa and a less harsh ride. BTW lowa4 i just think somethings up man, there was wayyyyyyyyyyy tooo much engine movement in that vid. i dont even get that much with a shot snub.
Yeah, I'm gunna go out and double check my mounts again. I just put the gs and 034 next to eachother and they are identical, they both have a "bc" stamped on them. I'm just gunna reuse the gs and sell the 034, all I need is the bracket.
Yep, that was it, I could have done it without pulling the bumper but the snub is in the way of the top allen bolt. I probably could have used vise grips to loosen that bolt then used a regular hex bolt in it's place when reinstalling but i didn't want to mess with it. I got the bumper/radiator support off in 20 minutes and had the snub and housing of in 5. It's an easy job. I used APR's instructions.
