independent fogs?

Default independent fogs?

anyone know how to use the VAG COM to make the fog lights independent from the high beams?

anyone done this.. i'm interested would be perfect for dawn/dusk and will keep the hours down on my low beams..

any input is appreciated

i'm pretty sure you can only program them with the vag-com on B6 models

then is there a way to solder a wire in (or something) so they will go on without the low beams or no?

ok i found what i was looking for on DIY audiworld.

but has anyone done the dual rear fogs on the B5? i tried looking into it I know there is plastic in the housing that needs to be removed what about the harness is there wiring for the bulb or no it didn't look like it to me but i may be missing something....

let me know what you think

To make the fog independent on a B5 you can modifiy the headlight relay by removing a couple connector tabs and rewiring it (basically bypassing the headlight line with a line of your own straight to the foglight line in the relay)

do a search it has to be here

Man dual rear fogs, especially if you are turning them on while driving is jacked... those things are so annoying to other drivers.

i bet they are but I don't really care, not to keep them on at all times but maybe have them come on with the breaks or something.

You can get ticketed for dual rear fogs. It's a stupid mod and serves no purpose other than to do the "phantom brake check" on people that drive up your tail. Funny to see them hit the brakes when you do that, but driving with them on all the time like some people do is just dumb.

And thats besides the fact that it eliminates the directional functionality of your rear foglight

what about the 5 break light mod is that dumb too?
