Never driven a GIAC or APR. I will do a before InMotion and a after InMotion 0-60. I will do both tests on the same stretch of road with consistent take off from 0. We will see ifit is $175. 00 worth of improvement. Should knoweverything in about a week.

Good luck too you, you've got bigger ***** than me! Personally, I would not take a chance on something that has the potential to destroy the engine if things don't work right. I read this whole post, and can see everyone's point, but to me thats too expensive to fix if something goes wrong. In this case I would choose a vendor known to produce quality components. Although, if they have been around a while overseas, maybe they are more established than we know. But, IMHO, the engine is not something I am willing to take a chance on. A short shifter or something maybe, ECU, no way.
But, I honestly hope it works well for you, and look forward to your feedback once you get it installed.

I saw that someone bought an InMotion chip right after I did off ebay (nice to know I'm not the only risk taker). So, I messaged the guy to ask reasons why he bought one, first hand experience etc... Here is his response.

"Hey... I've heard some Audi owners being pretty happy with results, but I haven't heard from any Audi TT owners, usually A4/S4 owners. They have a good following with the VW TDI crowd, and have been tuning in Europe for around 10 years. InMotion USA (one location) is in the Portland, OR area (as am I), and James from InMotion contacted me right after the auction. He will be meeting me at my house Friday afternoon to pull the info from my ECU and see if it matches any of the flash tunes they already have. If not he will have to send the data file to Austria and they will make a custom tune for my ECU.

Honestly, I think they are the same as Upsolute tuning, which is a popular tuner as well. If you go to the InMotion website and look at the Audi TT tuning info you will see the stock numbers and, instead of saying "InMotion" it says "Upsolute". I'm assuming they either partnet with them or copied their code... either way, it looks like all the stock tuning from any company gives the same HP and TQ results. GIAC, APR, and Revo have more aggressive tunes you can upgrade to, but their basic performance tunes give about the exact same numbers."

If thats true about being an upsolute partner, i have read a lot of good things about them, but i do remember a member here who had GIAC and wrecked his car, got a new one and went withupsolute and had timing/pinging issues. He might have had other underlying issues with the car, but he was blaming it all on upsolute. I hope it works out for you. I tried searching but cant find his thread.
