Quick mod, very easy. Looks way better than my stock bulbs. Also there is a big show this weekend in Deep Creek Maryland called Dubs On The Lake, anyone going? Anyone from around here?

I didn't like the silverstars. Though the light was whiter, they lasted only a very short time.

the quality control was amazing however. They burned out within a few days of each other.

 

Which Silverstars: Sylvania (USA) or Osram (Ger)? I installed Osram Silverstars on my '03 Passat and they are a great improvement as they are whiter and the cutoff is even more pronounced.

sylvania and osram are the same company...

 

Well... They are the same company in that Osram owns Sylvania, but the Silverstars are different, NA spec vs European spec.

 

I put silverstars in my fogs... meh. They are OK I guess... I'd sooner spend almost twice as much and get the high end PIAA's... they are much brighter, and whiter than the silverstars...

but, before the silverstars... my car had some cheap "cool blue" typa things in the fogs... they matched the HIDS perfectly, but they arent as bright as the silverstars... so, my fogs look more yellow now, but they are brighter. Not sure which way I prefer it
