Intake/exhaust question[s]
Yeah, but you don't want to lose all of the pressure that is spooled up, otherwise you'll have unncessary turbo lag as it requires that extra second to build that pressure up again; especially on big turbos. The more consistent the pressure, the better for the turbine, in terms of efficiency and relative stability; as you're not fluctuating the pressure. I dunno, that's just how I view it. I could be wrong, though. With a 2 3/4" exhaust, you could just swap the cat for a testpipe and it'd be pretty efficient.
