It's when the crank walks back into the FW and yes the motor is no good after. It was only in the 7 bolt motors not all 4g63's. Very very very few ever had a problem,but it was one of those things that the tuners blew up into this big thing. 100% of the 7bolts that had it never would have got it if they were never modded and that's why mitsubishi turned there back on the problem......

 

Evo's won't have the problem! The only motors to have the problem are the ones america decided to modify from the orignal Jap design.
