Intake manifold

RE: Intake manifold
if your wanting to do this for a 1.8t heres what you should do. just polish the inside the shop off about .5" of the runners and re weld them. you'll prob net 10 hp to the ground at 4500-5000 rpm. ive been debating on doing this. its a last resort to pull power out of k04 setup...ill prob do it but prob in the summer...i have a good welding shop close so its no biggy and a friend who will polish for free o and also if you want to upgrade you throttle body just slap a vr6 from a newer model on its larger than the 1.8t. then you can port match your intake manifold to it. been thinking of this upgrade as well..lol

RE: Intake manifold
We have a "do it yourself" intake manifold porting and polishing workshop for the 12V. I'm sure the ideas would translate to the 1.8t.
