Default Intake temp guage?

Well, i was concidering getting an intake temp guage. Concidering with a chip, my turbo turns into a lightbulb after 5 minutes of medium-hard driving. i thought it would be nice to get a intake temp guage expecially for when i get a FMIC to compare the temps.

anyone know where i can find one? install? worth it??

and ya. i didnt search. ill admit that. i just dont think ill get flamed becuase ive been on this forum every day for a long a$$ time and havent seen anything about it. w000t

Yeah, shiht, if you read every post every day, then I guess you already know, and may be excused from searching this one time only.

mmkay. on that subject. anyone have an idea of where a good range is? above what range is bad? i would assume that for a general idea on what mine would be would be to look at the temp of the intake manifold itself. concidering its rushing with the air going into the engine. but then again...it gets heat from the engine.

well i've heard the temp of the air comming out of a turbo can be like a thousand degrees...im sure the intercooler takes alot of the heat out, im guessing between 100 and 200.. if you had one of those laser temp readers you could find out real easy

ya, ill read the manifold and see what it says. course, itll be a little higher then the air, but itll give me a good ballpark idea.

i was think of doing the same thing, casue my HKS CAMP can suport it, but i was thinking of putting it somewhere after the intercooler
but the sensor is $95.97[&o][&o][&o]

but i dont think its worth it, what are u gonna do, u cant control it when its hot
a boost gauge is to see if u have boost leak
but wat are u gonna do with intake temps
