Intake temp guage?

I remember something about intake temps in a post or 2 about the water injection.

you can see your intake temp. with Vag-Com or your Digital Climate COntrol Unit.

Update. found the temp gun:

A luke warm car, got in. ran easily just until the temp guage hit the middle, gout out read: Intake Manifold - 110 ish Turbo - 550 ish Guage said oil was abotu 170 (F)

After a few minutes of hard driving: Intake Manifold - about 100-110 (it seamed to LOWER a little. silly.) Oil - 200 Turbo...was glowing. the temp gun doesnt read about 999 degrees F. lol

I will bring home a high tempo gun sooner or later.

Well I suppose if there is enough air rushing through the intake it COULD get colder, does seem kinda odd though lol.

i guess thats y i still have skin on my hands. concidering im a dumba$$ and cant wait for my engine to cool down before i do maintinence. i replaced a vac line. and it didnt feel good. but god d*mnit, i got it done.

Lol, yeah I forgot about the cool down phase of doing an oil change once, hot oil isn't very fun!

yea that new heatsheild of mine was pretty hot after i relized i didnt get the bottom clips on the airbox lid

Yeah, hot engines in general are not fun to touch. Incidently in the middle of winter in northern states its not much fun to touch a cold engine either...
