Is this intake better than the one of ebay? It doesn't have a heat shield heat it is still a CAI? Would i get better results if i added a heat shield?

Yea i can, i just wonder if you can.
This doesn't really regard to you since you have a 2.8 but really the stock airbox is good on the A4's. It is pulling fresh air through a duct right into the airbox.
Learn to read, and keep on preaching the "CLAIMS"

Sorry trailboss, didnt read the whole post. my bad.

I think everyone has there own opinions on this and thats good and all, but on a 2.8 you willl see more then a 2hp gain, its almost impossible not too. Cars have been around forever and it is a known fact that the faster you get air in a engine, the more hp you will have, audi are not different at all, yes they do have a good factory airbox, but everything can be improved. I think a intake on a stock 1.8t does nothing, this is why alot of you say intakes do nothing, maybe not alot of you have well modded cars yet.. Put a intake on a well modded 1.8t and you will see gains.

I was reading up on the Carbonio CAI and it sounds pretty impressive...but..does anyone know if they make it for audi and where to find it? Their website only indicates use on a VW 1.8T but not on an audi..are their any differences to these engines and if so what? I think the VW is transversely mounted but that's about all I know about them.
