intercooler will help vastly no matter what state of modification your car is in. No execptions. It the power gain worth the money? thats for you to decide.

Oh, I dont have one so I wouldnt know. But I have heard they offer little performance to non-modded cars, like 3hp.

HP is HP.

with a FMIC when you add a chip the power goes from adding +50 hp to +60hp.
adding a KO4 goes from +70 to +100.

the best intercooler hands down across the board is the APR intercooler. IMO i think its ugly.

theres 2 pics of that installed on an a4. i think it looks pretty decent behind there. I would like to talk to the guy who owns the audi, and see how the fitment and install went. thats a pretty damn good deal, add some cahrge pipes for another 50 an youve got a clean front mount.

Yeah both the APR and EvoM intercoolers are expensive. I have a greddy front mount. the reason i went with greddy is b/c they have been making intercooler for the longest time. a "special" audi intercooler is a gimick; all intercoolers do the same thing.

Not really, there is a thing called pressure drop that some people worry about. But yeah in general they all do the same thing. APR makes a very well designed FMIC to minimize pressure drop.

well pressure drop is from using longer piping and i wouldnt say apr's is really designed that well. i just installed mine last night and what a bitch it was. damn that **** is a tight fit. although it does look sweet behind the bumper. u will practically have to destroy ur front bumper to put one on. meaning that there are alot of snaps that have to be destroyed and u will have to remove the bumper support. also does anyone know how to retain the washer lights when installin an intercooler?
