Default Intercoolers ??
quick question does anybody know if the ebay frontmount intercoolers really work for chipped A4's k03 turbos and possibly later on for a k04 set up.

thats what i got on mine, APR chip, and an ebay front mount... works like a charm, no heat soak, the turbo side piping is warm, and after the intercooler the piping is ice cold.

wow nice to know what about for a k04 upgrade is there anything that might effect the performance?

If you dont want to hack up the front and with less pressure drop, consider a tyrolsport ugsmic. Its a little more costly, ok alot more costlythan a ebay kit, but will perform better also.

Looks like that fits in the stock intercooler location... and it cools better than any FMIC? Even good enough for a BT setup or just the K03 and K04?

your not gona benefit much from a k04 since you have a k03s but yeah the ebay fmic will work fine on a k04 setup

thatsa nice sidemount but it dosnt look as nice as a frontmount, even if its small it will be better than stock cooler. also does the intercooler from ebay need a new front bumper or can it work with stock.

it will work with stock. just try and get one no taller than 6" or you'll need to cut some supports, but any fmic will require a little bit of trimming
