Just thought I would introduce myself to the forums. Been reading posts for about 3 months and finally decided to become a member. In july I purchased my first audi, a 1999 Audi A4 1.8t quattro, silver w/ black leather 5spd. So far mods are only cosmetic with 2002 audi a4 cabriolet wheels 17in on 235/45 pirelli p6's. and tints 20%back 35% front. Looking to start modding the car soon but I am limited on funds as a college student so I guess I will have to do those free mods in the sticky section. Going from a ford ranger 4x4 to a turbo audi is like night and day but I do have the same sickness everyone else on here has of making things go faster!! Just thought I would introduce myself and looking foward to being helped out with the new ride.

If you want to make your car faster, spend the $500 on an ECU chip and a Diverter valvue (DV) to handle the new power. The difference is night and day, I don't think there are any mods that get you such noticiable gains for a relatively small investment. Next, throw some Bilstien/H&R shocks and springs on it to drop that sucker...can't have your Audi looking like your 4x4 with a huge wheel-gap

There's tons of info about chips...just about everyone loves GIAC, but if you've been lurking for 3 months, I'm sure you know that already.

Welcome to the forum man. nice choice in car. i went from driving a mustang 5.0 and supercharged 5.7, to a cougar(lol), to my 98 1.8TQM Sport and the difference was huge. the first time i took a corner in this car i knew it had to be mine. tho i miss the insane torque on the stangs almost no one in town can touch me at 3rd gear. but ya get sum pics up soon
