I've just joined the site (I have a 2001 A6 2.7T and wife has 2002 A4 1.8T) and I can't believe what I've been missing all these years. I just bought the Audi IPOD adapter for her car and want to install it for Xmas. The directions were pretty vague, particularly with respect to routing the cable into the glove box (talk of drilling a hole, etc). It looks like I need special tools to remove her cd/radio and I'll be picking those up next week ($4.95/set at Clair Audi - 2 sets required). Anyone know of a good instruction set for installing this thing?

 

shouldn't be too hard...once you get the stereo out, drill a small hole on the side leading to your glove box....filter the ipod cable through and connect it to the aux plug. just make sure your battery is unplugged just in case. once it's in, plug the battery up. check to see if you have to enter the radio code and plug it up...
