Default iPod Hardwire

Does anyone know if you can hardiwre an iPod to a 2003 A4, so as to have it mounted in the glovebox and controlled through the stock head unit? I went by the dealership today and they said the adapter they have is for 2004 or greater and can't be done in the 03 B6. I just don't think it is so black and white, but, I could be wrong.

The factory one should work, if not get a DICE adapter.
Here is my factory one, it worked on my stock HU & my RNS-E that is for the newer cars.

$150 on eBay. Pricey when cassette adapter works fine. Don't like that it disables CD

Ice>Link and Dice work. I have the ice>Link, you'll need a custom cable if you want to keep your Sat radio or CD change (if it's in the trunk not indash)
