I decided on getting this:

in order to hookup my ipod to my A4 with the best sound quality. I have a 98 with the Bose system.

My first question is, how do i remove my radio? I see no place to use tools. Do i have to remove my wood trim to get it out?

2nd question, does the bose headunit have the 8pin connector in the back of it that would allow this adapter to work? Any information/help is appriciated.

You can use icelink or blitzsafe. Sorry, I can't really elaborate because I don't know much about that stuff. Although, I really need to do this myself soon.

 

if i knew how to get the radio out..i'd pop it out real quick and see if i have the 8 pin connector...but i dont see anywhere that would allow me to remove it. that leads me to believe i have to removed the woodgrain trim and I'd want to take my time and be careful while i did that so i did not scratch/break/damage the wood at all.

 

you need a special tool. it incerts in the slits on each side and it looks like this

the third one down, and if you click on it, it will give you directions

I used a nail file in those slots. With a little finagling it popped out.
