I finished the ko4 install tonight! Let it all settle, burn off oil etc. got in and omg. I didnt think it would be such a difference! It sounds like a semi and i hit 25 + psi! It sounds amazing and haha when i floor it, the clutch starts slipping, wow wow wee wow!

 

haha this would be a time that i would be happy i needed a new clutch

Deff don't forget to get it chipped with a K04 file.

 

COOL MAN! Good to hear! Lots of torque huh? I liked the 99 w/k04 i drove last week a lot except for the clutch. Get the clutch fixed asap it wont last long now. You do have a k04 file i thought? I also found out that there is in fact a k04 file for my ecu. I might be joinig the club sometime.

 

aw! im jealous.. I just finished my k04 install that same night, but I'm getting misfires.. I think I plugged something in wrong... Is there still an increase in power switching from K03 to K04 without the file? I thought one would need the k04 file to take advantage of it..

 

ya you need the k04 file to take advantage of it. It will hold boost longer and maybe be a little bit faster, but you risk running lean at wot without the right file.

 

yea just dont be too hard on it till you get the file you dont wana blow anything up lol
