i was driving my car the other day and i heard like a ticking sound like the car was goin to die on then i was like mybe its just me so when i was goin up my hill of my driveway i turn the boost up the i hear a very loud shot or bang under my hood. i looked at my turbo and it was black and smoking. Its only a KO3 turbo i think i had to many performance parts on it. here is my list of the part i have on my car DV, 3" downpipe, 3" turbo cat-back exhuast, 3" high flow cat, CAI, HighFlow Exhaust Manifold, Bosch 440cc Injectors, and3"TT225 MAF (housing + sensor. the reason y i have this part is because i am saving up for a BT setup for january or febuary. can some one please tell me if this is too much power for the turbo or was this my fault for putting the parts on too early

 

It's your fault for putting the parts on too early and not having the proper tuning.

 

why are u running 440cc injectors on a K03

 

Are you confused why your turbo blew? you are lucky you didn't blow the engine. I dont even know how the car would run 440cc injectors on a K03? 3in MAF on a K03? wow is all I have to say... looks like you are going BT sooner than you think.

 

wow...he has parts needed for a BT setup except the BIG TURBO......all you really need now is a big turbo and tuning...?

You can theoreticallyrun any size injectors with any size turbo you just need a good tune.

I'd say you should do a compression test to make sure you didnt mess your engine up. or get it inspected before you do more damage to it.[/align]

 

thank god the motor didnt go i was shocked and relieved that my motor was fine. but its my fault now i have to drive my jetta GLX now and wait 2 months to get my BT kit and the unitronics tuning kit also.
