Default ive got a flat line here can i get a nurse or doctor please?

i just went to turn my dads 96 n/a audi auto car on in this freezing cold, and the car truggled twice then it turned on for a minute then off now when i turn it the key to turn the engine on it just makes that charging noise as if the battery is dead, but it cant be because all my lights light up fine and it reads on internal voltage as 12V..

a bit off recent background on the car, when ive been turning it on, it idles pretty poorly revs jumpiong up and down sometimes its been doing this but then usually turns on after a few attempts, first time it doesnt turn on at all,

where do i start doc?

I still think its your battery - or a loose connection. Try another battery to make sure.

nah we ran a few tests and weve come to the conclusion its the fuel pump, theres no fuel activity running down the vacums, and when we fed it fuel threw the fuel vacum, it starts but as soon as we stop feeding itll stop
