jsut bought 2000 a4
i jsut bought an audi a4 2000 with 90k on it. it looks to be in good physical shape. i got all the maintance records and it was well taken care of. is there anything that i should look for that could cause problems?
If it's been well maintained, then yeah, hopefully the timing belt has been changed. If it hasnt... who knows if it's been well maintained or not!
And 90K miles... listen up for squeaky/clunky control arms! Mine are starting to go at 70K miles (105 000 km)

Make sure the timing belt is done. If it hasn't been changed you are on borrowed time.
Change all the fluids in the car. Transmission or gear oil, differential, rear differential, center differential.
Swap out the power steering fluid with Pentosin 11S.
Check the front control arms and tie rod ends.
Check the CV boots for cracks.
Check the brake pads for wear.
check the battery cells for electrolyte level and top up with distilled water.
