just bought a 00 1.8T, its a quick car, but not quick enough. What do I need to turn the boost up to 15psi? I have about $2000 to spend right now...

 

Welcome to the forum. Start searching the forums for "chip, diverter valve, turbo, ko4" keywords. If you don't want to get flamed do the research yourself then come back and ask specific questions.

2000 isnt gonna get you the speed you want. You can get it to 15 psi no problem by getting a k04 turbo package instead (can be pricey). Get the kit so all the tubing is right as well. You wont see too much of an increase. Im guessing with a k04 you can get about 245hp at 15psi. Thats just a guess. This car is really not made to be all that fast. The most i've ever seen on an a4 is 450hp.. and thats with 20k of work done.

I suggest you go simpler. By ECU upgrade (preferably GIAC) that will give u a 50hp boost for 500 bucks... buy a new exhaust and cat (+18hp) (around 1500). There you go. right there u went from 155hp to about 218.

Goodluck. Another thing that would give u sum wanted speed is changing the tires. I reccommend Falken Ziex's... they look and feel great on our audis. Dont get 18's or 19's till u change the suspension (itll look like a monster truck)... well thats about it i guess. Happy shopping... hope to c what it looks like... or atleast see a ticket stub with ur speeds...heh.
