Default just bought a chipped apr ecu off ebay for 475!!!

it came off a 98.5 a4 1.8t manual quattro... my car is the same thing but a 98... I shouldn't have any problems right?

and my next question is what dv to go with... I want a dv that is the loudest/cheapest/best performance... any ideas or links?? I would appriciate it... thanks

A 710n will prollybe cheapest, but if want sound w/ performance try a Forge Spltr which will give you that BOV sound. I've seen the 710n from $50-80 depending where you look and I paid $125 for my Forge at ECS.

Search it and you'll find that has been put to rest. I've seen a lot of guys runnin the spliter and 004 which are like combo valves that vent to atmosphere and recirc, there are some others as well but I'm not gonna search it for you.. Read the sticky titled "all the DV info you'll need".

Just make sure the numbers on the ECU's are the exact same.

Hard to tell.I didn't know Bosch made an adjustable DV. It looks like my Forge 007, which for $55 would be a steal.

is there anything else that i should do besides switching out the DV when i put in the new apr ecu?

Can I run the stock DV with it for a day or two cause i have a feeling that the ecu might come in sooner then the DV...
