Ok so I just replaced my stock DV with a 710N and now I can hear almost like a "whislte" noise when I get on the gas....is this normal?
I also have a K&N Filter.

 

everything tight? it takes them a little time to break in. is it like a whoooooooooooooooooo (coke bottle sound)? or high pitched?

a whoooo/honk sound means the dv is blown....

 

hahaa whistle is NOT good that usually means your turbo is blown lol... if your car is slow and not making boost your turbo is gone.... but if there is no loss in boost and you here a "whooooooo" its your turbo spooling up thats normal.... do yourself a favor get rid of that K&N and save yourself from having to replace that MAF, and getting excess dirt in your engine for NO noticeable gains

 

well that can't be since I just put the 710N in and I do not have a chip how can it be blown?

 

a whistle or dentist drill noise means that your turbo is shot, does your car make the "whooo" sound constantly or only at certain times? Like socal said a constant whoo is probably the turbo spooling but a sporatic whoo/honk sound is the sign of a bad dv

 

did you buy the 710n brand new or swap it off a car?

 

what excatly is your problem no boost? or just a loud "whooooooo" noise? no boost means boost leak go back and check all your hoses esecially the one that goes into the back of the dv... As for the whoo noise it will sound a little diff from your stocker... more info please what type of noise how many miles

 

yea its fairly consistent. Basically it only makes tht noise the first couple high rev's to about 4500 rpm then after that it seems to disappear. and I really do not think my DV is blown because I just put it in like 30min ago so...
