just a cold thing?
i have very little experience as to how the car acts in cold weather since i've lived in south fl for 20 years (my whole life) so i was hoping some of you northern guys can help me out. the other night i drove to the gym and noticed a noise when i turned my wheels like when you have low power steering fluid. does this happen in cold weather even if the fluid is full? it was ~35 degrees. i would check my fluid level but my car is at a friends house cause i drank too much last night lol also are there any other cold specfic problems i should be aware of, so i dont freak out if something else goes wrong...
i think one thing that i noctice is, if u put the key in and turn the ign to on, wait a couple secs b4 u actually start the car. it seems to start easier that way for me. also warm the car up for at least 8 min b4 u drive it.
i just had that problem and ignored it for awhile and found out that my fluid was leaking around one of the lines under the engine block. i dont know how the cold weather has anything to do with it.

what do you mean "warm it up" for 8 minutes before driving it? that is WAYYY to long for a warm up period. all you need to do is let the car idle for about 45 seconds to a minute. then drive the car. but DO NOT boost at all until your oil temp is higher than 150 degrees. then your engine is properly warmed up

Mine did the same thing this morning. Seems the fluid contracts a bit when cold, so I added some, and it quieted down a bit. It still looks like a capuccino in the reservoir so I think it'll be a few days to work the bubbles out. Keep an eye on the level though.
does it still look like a cappacino? i am having the same problem and noticed the bubbles. i had audi check it out and they said they bled the system and couldnt get the noise to duplicate. but, a day later and we are back to square one. fluid level is up to maximum though.
I've been having the same problem with the cold, so today i picked up some power steering fluid, filled her up, and the noise disappeared. It also seems that it's much easier to turn.
you probably are just starting to get low on powersteering fluid, i dont know.
also, i hate to be captain obvious here but chaos, your posts are going backwards, i saw you hit 5000
