Its just the dealers full synthetic oil. They said every 10k i was pretty surprised. I just dont wanna run into sludge in the future.

Its really a matter of preferrence, i never go over 3-4k on my car because i think the oil consumption rate is too high to stretch it out 10 thousand miles IMO. Plus i don't like having old oil in my turbos.

Of course they are gonna tell you that, i would tell you the same thing if you were asking me at the dealer. Techs have to be very carefull what they say to a customer because it can come back and bite you in the ***. As long as what we say to a customer reflects the Audi specs we aren't in any danger, on the forum i don't give a ***.

Also, you car is still under warranty........so your maintenace is still free........they won't be too happy if you keep coming back every 3k miles for a free oil change.........in fact they won't do it for free.......you have to be closer to the 10k mile mark in between (little bit of grace aloud in there).....at least thats what I was told from a tech.

i stick with the 6-7k range. No point in wasting money by dumping out perfectly good oil prematurely

Even though your car and my car have much bigger filters than previous models I still wouldn't go over 6 man..that's really just pushin' it. Especially w/the turbo and all..it's just like $50 every few months. I just dish it out so I don't end up having to pay for it in the end..u know.
