Just got back from the mechanic...Need some advice
get the codes and don't try/ guessanything first that what cost you $$$$$,
the leak is probably the cam cover so cheap and easy to replace ( clean the engine and look close to where the leak is )

definitely get a second opinion. you don't want to spend $5,000+ on one mechanic's opinion!
most of this stuff has to be done to any other audi with 100k on it as well, but in your case none of it has been done yet so you're doing it all at once.
Get your timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump, tensioner, etc. done FIRST. If your timing belt breaks you're SCREWED and financially in a much larger hole. This is probably the most important preventative course of action. Should cost around $800 for everything if you don't go to the stealership.
Good Luck....

all the stuff you listed is definitly going to cost you but 5300 is a bit much, if you do the Ultimate timing belt kit and an oil change you can know out over half of the stuff that they are saying needs to be done, raelly isnt that bad of a job they have DIY for that. The wheel bearing and the other little things can be handled by a euro mechanic its not bad to do the car is deff gonna last for a long time after all this stuff.
one note. the cam shaft sensor is behind the timing belt cover-not behind the belt. It is a very easy replacement. Just did it on my 99.5. Part cost $50+ship e-bay.
Pull the elec plug.
pop the tb cover.
remove 2 screws 10mm? keep your eye on the parts inside the cam sensor housing to see how they go back in.
the sensor is on the housing.
put the new one on.
reclip tb cover.
plug back in.
and shes done..... $60
all these items do seem high. but keep in mind that a mechanic, if he sees something remotely wrong will put it down to be repaired. Two reasons for this- first is income...... and second is liability.
For example, the oil pan leak how bad is it? if its just sweating a litlle u really dont have to mess with it. if it is dripping is another story.
gluck
now u have only $5040 to deal with.
